Iconic View of the Space Needle

This solid 100+ year old charmer of a house is situated conveniently close to downtown Seattle with an iconic view of the Space Needle. It served several generations of owners through the years, and was a diamond in the rough in need of updates for a modern style of living. We were able to give it the overhaul it needed while preserving as many original features as possible. Tall ceilings emphasize the expansive open spaces and the view was enhanced by the replacement and enlargement of the front bay windows which bring in a lot of southern light.

The new design includes a spacious kitchen with luxury appliances and an abundance of custom cabinetry. Updated lighting fixtures and hardware throughout give it a more current aesthetic while honoring the era of the home. The focal point of the open living room is the tiled floor to ceiling fireplace and television unit with storage cupboards beneath. The primary bedroom got a new ensuite bathroom. Structural posts in inconvenient places in the basement were relocated to create a comfortable space for guests, and a new flow was achieved that allows for a different kind of living in the house. A newly designed staircase with access to a workout loft which was created out of the attic space is the cherry on top! With one of the best views in the city, this house is now ready to serve for another century.
