KITCHEN FOR NEW PARENTS
This jewel of a small house on a small lot was doing a good job housing its occupants, but with the prospect of a baby on the way, the small dark kitchen with nowhere to sit, was going to make life difficult. A tiny addition made all the difference. We made it look like it was always there, saving a glass cabinet, and adding new ones knitted in with the old. Now a new eating nook provides a family hangout. The south facing doors that lead to the patio, and the skylights flood the kitchen with light, and make a welcome contrast with the coziness of the rest of the house.
